Rock City Hotel has formally withdrawn its bid for a strategic partnership with the Social Security & National Insurance Trust (SSNIT). In a letter dated 12th July 2024, addressed to Mr. Kofi Osafo-Maafo, Director-General of SSNIT, Rock City Hotel expressed surprise at the concerns raised by some SSNIT stakeholders regarding the decision to seek strategic partners for the hotels.
The letter highlights that while Rock City Hotel was initially pleased to have been selected over 15 other organizations, ongoing media discussions and perceived negativity surrounding the decision have led to their withdrawal. Rock City Hotel emphasized that the negative commentary jeopardizes the success of the investment and is not in line with the brand’s values.
The hotel has consented to the public release of bid documents for scrutiny if necessary, emphasizing their commitment to transparency and accountability.
