The National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ghana’s main opposition party, has clarified that it hasn’t made any definite plans to contest the Ejisu by-election after the recent passing of the area’s Member of Parliament, John Kumah.

Mustapha Gbande, the Deputy General Secretary of the party, explained that they are currently focused on mourning Kumah’s death rather than rushing into filling the vacant seat.

Gbande advised NDC supporters in the constituency to be patient, ensuring that the party will communicate its intentions regarding the election in due time. He
emphasized the importance of unity within the party and encouraged members to continue working with local party structures while also expressing condolences to Kumah’s family.
