June 23rd, 2023 marked a historic moment in Ghana’s business landscape as Dr. Lord Yamoah was inaugurated as the youngest Council Member of the Institute of Directors-Ghana (IOD-Gh). The investiture ceremony took place at the Labadi Beach Hotel, a picturesque venue befitting the occasion.

Dr. Lord Yamoah’s journey is a testament to the power of faith and perseverance. Growing up in Akoon, a community with a modest education rate of 30-40%, he faced many challenges. However, guided by the biblical verse Isaiah 60:22, which states, “When the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen,” Dr. Lord Yamoah remained steadfast in his pursuit of success.

His unwavering commitment to his goals is encapsulated in Proverbs 16:3, “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” This verse became the cornerstone of his life philosophy, driving him forward despite the obstacles he encountered.

Dr. Lord Yamoah, the eldest of five siblings, nurtured numerous ambitions and aspirations. Yet, amid the uncertainties and setbacks, his dreams appeared distant and hazy. Nevertheless, he maintained an unshakable faith that guided him towards a brighter future.

Described as affable, loyal, hardworking, and compassionate, Dr. Lord Yamoah exemplifies the qualities of a true leader. His unwavering belief in the potential of his motherland, Ghana, fuels his drive to contribute to its growth and development.

His educational journey began at Goldfield Schools Complex and Tarkwa Senior High School before he furthered his studies at the University College of Management Studies. With a thirst for knowledge and personal growth, he pursued a master’s degree at Coventry University in the United Kingdom. Finally, his dedication culminated in the attainment of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Procurement from the Business School of Costa Rica.

Currently serving as a lecturer at Takoradi Technical University in the Department of Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Dr. Lord Yamoah’s passion for academia shines through. His exceptional academic achievements in the field have garnered recognition both locally and internationally.

Through a combination of God’s grace and his relentless work ethic, Dr. Lord Yamoah has not only earned recognition from individuals but also from esteemed companies and institutions. Now, he has been called to serve on the board of the Institute of Directors, Ghana. Many believe that his inclusion will bring great success to the Institute and contribute to enhancing governance practices.
