Kennedy Agyapong, a candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearership, has vowed to expose information that will bring the party to an end if attempts are made to bring his businesses to an end.

Mr. Agyapong stated in an interview with Kumasi’s Sompa FM that if attempts are made to bring down his businesses, he will “finish the party” with his disclosures.

Mr. Agyapong said on the Sompa FM with Yaw Adu Boakye, “I am being nice and charitable to NPP (members), they shouldn’t dare me, they shouldn’t dare me,”

“…I will finish the party, the things I will say. The things I know that I have kept quiet”.

The Assin Central Member of Parliament claims that from the beginning of the year, his own party members have been conducting a witch hunt against him, and he believe that the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) is being used as a tool to intimidate and obstruct his business operations.

In order to monitor how much fish he sells each day, he claimed that the GRA wanted to station staff at his cold chain stores. He warned: “Let me say this, I have gone past intimidation. They can not use the system to intimidate me, I have to say this , that I opened businesses across the last five presidents. I never went through any of this harassment”.

“Ghana Revenue Authority can never collapse my business because I will fight. I will fight for the youth because that steel plant alone will take 1000 workers,” he said.

He also implied that he will reveal alleged corruption at the GRA.

“Whether they are auditing, whether they are collapsing the business, I swear to God, Ghana Revenue Authority can never collapse my business because I will fight…”
