The University of Media Arts and Communication – Institute of Journalism organized a thought-provoking seminar on the topic of cultural diversity as a tool for national development. This event aimed to shed light on the significance of embracing and celebrating cultural differences within a country, with a specific focus on its role in fostering national progress.

Attendees included students, professors, journalists, and esteemed guest speakers who shared their knowledge and insights on this vital subject.

Head of IPMB Africa,Ohene Dankwa Agyeman Duah who was an invited guest for the program admonished that culture is a critical tool for national development and as a people new should be conscious on imparting cultural values in our younger generation.

The seminar commenced with an opening address by the Faculty of Integrated Social Sciences dean, who emphasized the importance of cultural diversity in creating a harmonious and inclusive society. She highlighted that the beauty of a nation lies in its ability to appreciate and respect diverse cultures and beliefs. Furthermore, she emphasized the immense potential of cultural diversity as a catalyst for national development.

Other speakers at the event was Nana Asare Gyimah Frempong, Asante Juaben Akonferehene, Nana Dr.Kyeretwie Obeng Baah among others.
