The University of Media Arts and Communication – Institute of Journalism organized a seminar to herald the nation wide Ghana month celebration on the topic of cultural diversity as a tool for national development. This event aimed to shed light on the significance of embracing and celebrating cultural differences within a country, with a specific focus on its role in fostering national progress. Attendees included students, professors, journalists, and esteemed guest speakers who shared their knowledge and insights on this vital subject.
Asante Juaben Akonferehene Baffour Asare Gyimah Frempong who was speaking as a special invited guest for the programme in his speech remarked that , Ghanaians should be proud to project and project their culture wherever they find themselves and should be tolerant of another which is key to achieving national unity and cohesion.

The seminar commenced with an opening address by the Faculty of Integrated Social Sciences dean, who emphasized the importance of cultural diversity in creating a harmonious and inclusive society Nana Dr.Kyeretwie Obeng Baah,Dr. Richard Nii Commeyfio , Deputy Chief Executive officer, National Commission on Culture,Ohene Dankwa Agyeman Head of IPMB Africa among among other high profile personalities.
The UniMAC Ghana month celebration is expected to be annual program.
