NPP MEGA KWAHU HEALTH WALK AND RALLY

For Immediate Release 31/4/24

Yesterday, the Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H. E. Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia led a mammoth health walk and rally in Kwahu on the occasion of Easter, marking the death of Jesus Christ.

The colorful events which were well organized and heavily attended saw thousands of NPP members and sympathizers awash the principal streets of Kwahu, from Bepong to Mpraeso with the beautiful colors of NPP to the cheers and chants of victory of Kwahuman and the multitude of Ghanaians who have traveled from far and near to experience Easter in Kwahu.

It stands to reason that the NPP is the most well organized and united party that is adequately prepared to win political power in the imminent general elections

Speaking to the enthusiastic crowd at Mpraeso, Dr. Bawumia cataloged the voluminous achievements of the NPP government, sector by sector, and juxtaposed them with the abysmal performance of the NDC between 2009 and 2016. “The NPP is on record to have achieved over 70% of its manifesto promises as compared to the 20% manifesto promises achievement by Mahama. It is therefore mathematically absurd that the one who achieved a paltry 20% of his manifesto promises would want to replace the one who has achieved 70% of his manifesto promises. This is what I call Akomfem Mathematics” Dr. Bawumia jabs Mahama.

Hon. Bryan Acheampong inspired hope and optimism among participants when he eloquently explained how the NPP has maneuvered its way through the catastrophic global twin crises that have wrecked economic havoc in every country across the globe. “Last year was very challenging with food inflating hovering around 60%, cement, iron rod and prices of general goods went high causing discomfort to us. At the time of this crisis, the NDC thought they will win the 2024 elections. I stood here last year and said that things will get much better before elections and Ghanaians shall see the good works of NPP and vote for us. Truly, things are better now and Ghanaians will vote for NPP to sustain the progress we have made thus far” Hon, Bryan asserted.

The flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Bawumia used the occasion to introduce the 33 NPP Parliamentary Candidates in the Eastern region to the general public. He has charged them together with the regional executives and constituency executives to work assiduously to retain seats we have and snatch others being held by the NDC.

The events were attended by Hon. Konadu Apraku (Frm. Flagbearer Aspirant), Dr Afriyie Akoto (Frm. Agric Minister & Flagbearer Aspirant), Ing. Kwabena Agyepong (Frm. Flagbearer Aspirant), Hon. Asamoah Boateng (Fmr. DG of SIGA) and Hon. Opare Ansah (Fmr. MP for Suhum).

Also present were all National executives led by Chairman Stephen Ntim, Eastern Regional Executives led by Chairman Jeff Konadu, Ministers and Deputy Ministers, the 33 MDCEs in the Eastern region, and scores of CEOs and heads of Parastatals.

Thank you.
