Scores of residents at Nsutam Roundabout near Linda Dor have showered praises on personnel from the Bunso Ghana National Fire Service Station in the Eastern Region of Ghana, for their quick response to an accident scene that occurred on the Accra-Kumasi highway near the Goil Filling Station at Linda Dor on Tuesday 26th March, 2024 at around 1724hrs.
An eyewitness’ accounts has it that, the driver of a loaded MAN Diesel gas tanker with registration number GT 953 Z, travelling from Accra to Kumasi lost control and rammed into a Shark Man low bed trailer moving in same direction with registration number GT 2241-22 after failing brakes.
The impact forced both trucks to veer off their lane thereby hitting other two upcoming trailers from the opposite lane namely, Howo and Volvo Trucks with registration numbers BF 3972G 103 and BF 11LL0594 respectively.
There were no casualties recorded.
According to the residents, the Bunso fire personnel arrived on time after receiving the distress call and averted a possible gas explosion.
The Kibi Police MTTD have commenced thorough investigations into the incident.
