On July 17th, 2024, MTN Ghana paid tribute to Daasebre Adusei Peasah IV, Akyem Tafohene, and Barima Ati Awuah Akwaako, Akyem Atihene, during the Ohum Kan Festival. The chiefs received hampers, GHS 10,000 each, and airtime.
MTN’s Area Sales Manager for the South East District, Mr. Ransford Gyan, expressed MTN’s delight in supporting the Tafo Traditional Area for the festival. He emphasized MTN’s 17-year commitment to enriching customer lives and promoting community development by supporting traditional celebrations.
MTN will set up experience centers during the festival to enhance customer experience and educate on MoMo fraud. Additionally, the MTN Ghana Foundation interviewed local women, youth, and differently-abled persons for its Enterprise Support Program, offering training and seed capital up to GHS 20,000.
Daasebre Adusei Peasah IV encouraged the youth, especially females, to utilize MTN’s support programs for community development. Both chiefs thanked MTN for their ongoing support and pledged continued loyalty.
Mr. Gyan expressed gratitude to the Akyem Tafo Traditional Area for their support and praised the efforts in organizing the festival, reaffirming MTN’s commitment to the Ohum Kan Festival and the community.
