The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Abuakwa North Constituency, Eastern Region, Ghana, Alhaji Seidu Ibrahim, has urged voters not to repeat the mistake of 2008 when power shifted from the NPP to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) due to claims of economic hardship.
He stressed that the NDC’s narrative of economic suffering in 2008 led to their ascendancy, resulting in turmoil until the NPP regained power in 2016.
Alhaji Seidu Ibrahim asserted that the NPP’s accomplishments are often overshadowed by accusations of corruption and mismanagement propagated by the NDC in their bid for power.
He urged all Ghanaians to recognize and embrace the unprecedented achievements of the Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia-led NPP administration, calling for support for Dr. Bawumia to break the eight-year electoral cycle for the continuous development of the nation.
Alhaji Seidu Ibrahim emphasized the importance of peace and unity leading up to the 2024 general elections, expressing confidence that both presidential and parliamentary votes will favor the NPP.
He conveyed this message during a press briefing held at this year’s Eid-Ul-Fitre celebration.
