Sunyani, BA, June 4, 2024 – The Bono Regional Secretariat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially suspended Mr. Isaac Kwame Benkae from his role as the Bono Regional Deputy Secretary. This decision comes into immediate effect as per a letter dated June 4, 2024, signed by the Regional Secretary, Mr. Kofi Ofosu Boateng.
Citing Articles 3(7) and 4(7 and 8) of the party’s constitution, the letter highlights that the suspension is necessary pending further investigation and disciplinary action. The Regional Executive Committee, responsible for this decision, emphasized that the suspension aims to protect the integrity of the regional party amid allegations of misconduct against Mr. Benkae.
The letter explicitly prohibits Mr. Benkae from participating in any party activities or representing the party in any capacity until the matter is resolved. A disciplinary committee will be convened to thoroughly investigate the allegations and recommend appropriate actions.
The Regional Secretariat remains committed to upholding the party’s standards and ensuring that all members adhere to its principles and code of conduct.
