Zipline drone services, Omenako in the Eastern Region has engaged stakeholders to familiarize them with their operations on Thursday, 21st March, 2023 at their premises.

According to Mr Kwaku Kusi Amoateng, Zipline Country Community Lead, the engagement is to bring the stakeholders closer to the facility to have first hand knowledge of their services and channel a common road map for future endeavors to better their operations.

Paramount Chief of Manya Krobo Traditional Area who doubles as the president of Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, Nene Sakite II, commended Zipline Omenako for their exemplary services and said it’s worth proclaiming to the world of which he will be an ambassador.

Nene Sakite II noted that, the technology is significant and said, they can do all deliveries in the near future but the priority is essential medical deliveries which they are doing now.

He posited that, if the need is there he will advise that the facility is expanded.

The Assembly Member of Omenako Electoral Area, Hon Richard Afasi Dzifa, on his part said , Zipline Omenako has transformed the Electoral Area into tourists attraction zone which has improved economic activities in the area.

He emphasized on the cordial relationship between Zipline Omenako and the Municipal Assembly and added that, the Electoral Area was supplied with hand sanitizers, veronica buckets, nose masks and other personal protective equipment (PPEs) during the COVID-19 pandemic as part of their corporate social responsibilities.

The assembly man lauded Zipline Omenako for their exceptional services and continuous cooperations with the Omenako community and prayed for more to come.

Over the past four years, Zipline’s drones have been transporting blood, vaccines, and crucial medications to health facilities across the country saving many lives with their expedited deliveries.

The remarkable partnership between Government of Ghana and Zipline is acclaimed as one of the successful collaborations between the public and private sectors which has gained global recognition.
 
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on Wednesday 24 April, 2019, launched Zipline Omenako, Ghana’s largest drone delivery service to improve healthcare delivery, especially in hard-to-reach areas.
