The National Presidential Vetting Committee of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has scheduled Monday, July 3, 2023, for the commencement of vetting of its presidential aspirants.

The party made this known in a statement issued by the Secretary to the Vetting Committee, Evans Nimako.

Ten individuals have since filed their presidential nomination forms to vie for the party’s ticket.

Meanwhile, the party intends to cut down the number to five to make the election process less cumbersome.

The presidential hopefuls set to face the vetting committee on Monday, July 3 include the former Minister of Trade, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and Kwadwo Poku.

Former Energy Minister, Boakye Kyeremanteng Agyarko, former General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, and MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, will all on Tuesday, July 4, also face the vetting committee.

On Wednesday, July 5, 2023, Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, former Agric Minister Dr Owusu Afriyie and MP for Essikado-Ketan Constituency Joe Ghartey, will also take their turn.

Former Mampong MP, Francis Addai-Nimako will be vetted on Thursday to conclude the vetting process.

NPP
